These
women are of Tibetan ancestery. Perhaps far back.
There are more than 100 ethnic groups in Nepal, so the
look of
people varies a lot. From the people who came in from
the Tibet
area in the north, to those who came up from India.
Most of
these ethnic groups also have their own language.
